....And One More Thing: How Much Is The N7W Costing Jeju .... Really?

I was listening to the announcement for the New 7 Wonders again this morning. Why the heck I can't let this go, I don't know.

I was drawn again to the following comment during the announcement by the N7W salesman:

"Once the voting validation process is completed, in early 2012, we will then work with the confirmed winners to organize the official inauguration events during which each winner will receive the official plaque and will become officially confirmed as one of the new seven wonders of nature."

I was reminded of something. In a previous post I wrote:

In the August 16, 2011 edition of Asia Travel News it reported that:

JAKARTA, Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism withdrew from the nomination of the Komodo National Park as the finalists of the New Seven Wonders of Nature or the New Seven Wonders of The World. Indonesia retreated after being asked to pay 45 million U.S. dollars, or approximately IDR 383.8 billion....

He claimed to be deceived by the New 7 Wonders Foundation. Withdrawals made after the New 7 Wonders Foundation, has threatened to issue a Komodo National Park from the list of 28 finalists because Indonesia refused to host the declaration of the winner of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.

To host the New 7 Wonders Foundation requires Indonesia to pay 10 million U.S. dollars, or about IDR 85.4 billion as a license. Indonesia Culture and Tourism Ministry also have to prepare money 35 million U.S. dollars, or IDR 298.7 billion for the cost of organizing the event in Indonesia.

(Funny how Komodo was selected after they started to blow the whistle on this whole charade.)

Again I ask the Jeju N7W people: How much is the N7W thing costing Jeju? And dammit, stop insulting our intelligence by saying that Jeju has only spent $100 for the application fee. Sheesh.

How much will the "inauguration events" cost Jeju? Is there a "license fee?" C'mon, if the N7W thing is so darn wonderful, why can't the true cost be stated publicly?
